Skye Travel Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Skye Travel ("Company", "we", "us"). By accessing or using our website www.skyetravel.com.au ("Site") or booking our services, you ("Client", "you", "your") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Site or engage our services.
2. Definitions
Agency / Company: Skye Travel Pty Ltd.
Client / You: The person making the booking, including all travellers covered under that booking.
Lead Traveller: The person making the booking on behalf of all travellers in their party.
Supplier(s): Third-party providers of travel services such as airlines, hotels, cruise operators, transport, attractions, and insurance providers.
Booking Services: Reservation and booking services provided by Skye Travel.
Travel Services: Services provided by Suppliers (e.g., flights, accommodation, tours, insurance).
3. Booking & Acceptance
A booking is confirmed when we, on your behalf, receive confirmation from Suppliers and issue a booking confirmation/invoice.
By making a booking, the Lead Traveller confirms they are authorised to act for all travellers in the group and have communicated these Terms to them.
4. Pricing, Payment & Currency
All prices displayed are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Prices and availability can change without notice. The final price is confirmed only when full payment is received.
Payment may include deposit and final payment schedules, which will be communicated at the time of booking.
5. Supplier Terms & Liability
We act solely as an intermediary between you and the Suppliers. Each Supplier operates under its own terms and conditions, which bind you.
We are not liable for the acts, omissions, or defaults of any Supplier, nor for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or assumption of risk arising from using their services.
6. Cancellation & Changes
Cancellation, amendment, or refund policies may vary by Supplier. Any applicable fees or penalties are your responsibility.
If a Supplier imposes a cancellation fee, this may be in addition to any fee we charge to cover administrative costs, including those incurred.
If we must cancel your booking due to reasons beyond our control, our liability is limited to refunding monies paid, less any applicable Supplier or administrative fees.
7. Travel Documentation & Requirements
It is your responsibility to ensure that all travellers have valid travel documents (e.g., passports, visas, vaccinations, health declarations) and meet entry and transit requirements.
We strongly recommend that travellers verify all such requirements well in advance of travel dates.
8. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against risks such as cancellation, medical emergencies, baggage loss, delays, and Supplier failure.
As an authorised agent of Cover‑More, we can assist you in purchasing comprehensive travel insurance. Please review the policy documents carefully—claims and coverage decisions lie with Cover‑More and/or its underwriters, not with Skye Travel Cover-More Australia.
9. Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for reviewing your itinerary, confirming the accuracy of all booking details, and notifying us promptly of errors.
You must behave responsibly and respectfully during your travel. If behaviour disrupts or endangers others, Suppliers reserve the right to terminate services without refund.
You must safeguard your own valuables and personal belongings.
10. Force Majeure & Unforeseen Events
Neither we nor our Suppliers are liable for events beyond our control, including, but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, terrorism, war, civil unrest, strikes, government actions, weather, or health emergencies.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time.
12. Privacy & Personal Information
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and compliance with Australian privacy laws. Providing personal details for bookings or insurance is voluntary, but necessary to process your booking and insurance arrangements.
13. Limitation of Liability & Indemnity
Subject to statutory rights, our liability is limited to the value of services we provide.
You agree to indemnify and hold Skye Travel harmless from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of services.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and enforced in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia, or the relevant state where your booking was made.
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that state.
